Visit the IMDb and search for movies and TV shows that have the word “Ninja” in the title and you’ll get over 300 results. It seems from all this, that particularly in the decade of the 1980’s we couldn’t get enough of the Ninja; because that’s when most of these movies were made.Based on some of the titles it seems that the Ninja come in many different forms. There’s Ninja from Beverly Hills, Ireland, Mexico and even Outer Space. Some Ninja are only little, some are kids, some are girls, some only work 9 till 5. Ninja can be ghosts, robots, spies, surfers and even cheerleaders! And if none of all that seemed to be highly ridiculous and unbelievable, someone created the Teenage Mutant, Ninja Turtles.I wondered if the real ancient Ninja would find green, pizza eating, kung fu turtles who speak like Californian surfers to be somewhat amusing. Or would they wish to throw death stars in quick succession at the TV.My thought was that a genuine Ninja, would want to distance himself from any association with those pesky mutated Turtles. So join the movement to help the real Ninja PR machine to make people aware of the distinction between the dedicated, highly trained assassin and the shelled “dudes” whose master is a Rat.You can do so by wearing a Jinkies “I AM NINJA (but not turtle) T shirt. Fush & Chups for tea
2:10 PM PST, 6/2/2008
Before Pizza and all kinds of other foreign foods became the staple family Friday or Saturday night Takeaway, the number one choice in New Zealand was Fush and Chups. For many families…it still is.Now why did I spell it Fush and Chups instead of Fish and Chips? Well, according to everyone else in the world, that’s how Kiwi’s say it.In fact, scientific researchers from three different countries have joined forces to solve this great mystery: why do New Zealander’s say "fush and chups"?You’d think they’d have more important things to do with their time.So instead of taking expensive speech therapy lessons to cover up the accent that makes up part of who you are, celebrate your Nu Zulandnuss with a new Kiwiana Fush & Chups T Shirt from Jinkies. The design is influenced by your typical Fish and Chip Shop sign, which usually features something like a jumping fish and is often painted Red and Blue. Many of these haven’t changed for about 20 years…just become more faded.Fush & Chups T Shirts, available now ator -
Toy Army
5:11 PM PST, 5/25/2008
They may not be so politically correct these days, however since the 1950's Plastic Green Army Men have been a popular addition to almost every boy's toy box.
Because Army Men come by the bag or bucket load and are pretty cheap to buy, this allows for a bit of experimentation and some casualties of war are expected. Over the years Army Men have suffered their demise in many different ways; some of the most common include - being blown up by firecrackers, melted in flames, run over by bikes or cars and even eaten by dogs!
So honour the Green Army Man's bravery with a great new retro style T Shirt by Jinkies - available now!Go on...you know you want one.
